Ground staff at Berlin’s two main airports have begun a 25-hour strike over pay, which is expected to force the cancellation of more than 650 flights.
Around 448 flights will be cancelled at Tegel Airport and around 194 at Schoenfeld. The strike began at 0300 (GMT) this morning, Monday 13 March and will end on Tuesday morning at 0400 (GMT).
Lufthansa has had to cancel all flights today from Frankfurt and Munich to Berlin, and from Germany’s capital to those cities.
