Established in Gosforth in 1961, Travel Bureau is an award winning, independently owned travel company, specialising in corporate travel management, bespoke group travel and luxury tailor-made holidays.

Our corporate division offers a complete Corporate Travel Management Service. Providing independent advice, we seek cost effective travel solutions that are client and quality driven, combined with transparent business practices and the latest web based technology.

We are shareholders of the Focus Travel Partnership, the UK’s leading business travel consortium for independent travel management companies (TMCs). Our collective purchasing power and business acumen offers unique access to cutting edge technology, market-leading airfares, including NDC fares, competitive hotel and car hire programmes – all complimented by a personalised and independent professional service and supported by exceptional high-level supplier relationships.

We also form part of The Advantage Travel Partnership, a global membership organisation for independent leisure and corporate travel businesses.

In 2012, Travel Bureau’s leisure division became a preferred partner for luxury holiday company Kuoni, whose portfolio spans 88 countries, from the blissful Maldives and bustling Brazil, to an array of destinations across Europe. In 2016, we launched an inbound travel business Travel Bureau Destinations offering luxury British holidays and VIP business experiences.

Fast forward to 2024 and Travel Bureau is now run by joint Managing Directors, Jeanne Lally and Anne Bromley, who were part of the team that bought the business over ten years ago.  Jeanne’s background is in tour operating, working with TUI for over 30 years in a variety of roles from purchasing to sales, before returning to the North East from London. Following university, Anne worked across travel sectors – overseas, with tour operators and in corporate travel – and worked with Singapore Airlines in Manchester before joining Travel Bureau. This year, Anne celebrates 34 years with the business!

Today, the business is not just a travel agent but a travel concierge service, offering tailor-made itineraries, weddings and honeymoons services, business and group travel, and all provided with a personal touch. Travel Bureau continues to flourish as we strive to deliver what today’s customers want from a modern travel company, combining the latest technology with exceptional service and first-class travel knowledge.
