Security gate staff at Adolfo Suarez-Madrid Barajas Airport plan to stage a series of partial strikes over the next three weekends, including Mondays, in a dispute about working conditions.
ATES, a union representing around 1000 Prosegur workers, has filed a strike notice for 12 of the remaining 20 days in July.
The strikes will run from 5:30am – 6:30am, 10:30am -11:30am, 2pm – 3pm and 7 pm – 8pm (local time) on 14th – 17th, 21st – 24th and 28th – 31st July.
Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport in plenty of time to complete security procedures.
