Earlier this week, Lufthansa’s new route from Newcastle to Munich, Germany opened for bookings. The direct service will begin operating six times weekly from 3rd February 2020, operating every day of the week except Saturday. Lufthansa’s first flight out of Newcastle, the outbound flight will depart Newcastle Airport at 13:40, arriving in Munich at 16:40. The return flight will leave Munich at 11:50 and arrive back in Newcastle at 12:55 local time.
Lufthansa’s first route from Newcastle, the service will complement the well-established Eurowings service from Newcastle to Dusseldorf. Germany is the UK’s second largest trade partner after the US and this new Munich route will open up greater potential for driving business with key corporate industry offices located in the region. In additon, the new flight provides links to popular destinations such as Athens, Milan and Berlin via Lufthansa’s Munich hub.
