London Underground workers threaten 24-hour strike on 7th May

Workers on the London Underground workers have announced their intention to stage a 24-hour strike and take other forms of industrial action in early May. This announcement has come about in a dispute over the sacking of a colleague.

Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) based mainly at London Bridge will walk out at 10 pm on Sunday 7^th May. In addition, they have threatened to launch an indefinite campaign of action which will include not servicing ticket machines and not challenging passengers who refuse to produce a valid ticket.
