Disruption at Toronto airport until mid-May

Runway construction at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Canada has created reduced runway capacity and is impacting aircraft traffic into and out of the airport.

The construction is taking place on one of Toronto Pearson’s major runways which is also one of Canada’s busiest runways. The runway, which has been completely closed since 24^th April, will remain shut until 16^th May while the current phase of construction is completed.

Passengers travelling to, from or through Toronto Pearson may experience flight delays or cancellations during the period of construction. In addition, the airport is expecting increased disruption this weekend due to the onset of a major weather event.
