Increased connectivity is great news for North east businesses, and we’ve seen a flurry of new routes announced for the region recently. Here is a roundup of all the new services already flying or due to start from Newcastle and Teesside in 2020.
Loganair – In addition to routes to Aberdeen, Brussels and Stavanger, the Scottish airline will be operating services from Newcastle to Bergen, Guernsey and Newquay in 2020. Clan Loganair are offering double points for any bookings made from Newcastle to Aberdeen by 29 February 2020.
KLM – As well as increasing capacity from Newcastle to Paris Charles de Gaulle with the addition of a mainline A318 aircraft, KLM have launched a new route to Austin, Texas. Find out more here.
Lufthansa – Lufthansa’s new route from Newcastle to Munich just launched last week, offering fantastic opportunities for businesses in the region to connect with southern Germany. Lufthansa offer a competitive Business Rewards programme and an excellent frequent flyer scheme.
Eastern – Eastern Airways recently announced the addition of a six-times weekly service between Teesside Airport and George Best Belfast City Airport. In addition, the airline has said that it will also be operating flights to Dublin, London City, Cardiff and Southampton from Teesside, vastly increasing capacity by 185,000 seats per year from this North East airport.
