Newcastle Airport will have a brand-new luxury lounge for Summer 2020 with construction due to get underway soon.
The airport’s third premium lounge, alongside the existing Aspire and BA lounges, the new addition will have spectacular panoramic views of the runway and a stylish bar area.
Lounge guests will be able to indulge pre-flight with a menu of high-quality food on offer and those travelling for business can take advantage of dedicated working zones, with desk space, charging ports and super-fast Wi-Fi.
The flexible space has been specially designed by North-East-based company, Ward Robinson, to suit the needs of all travellers, providing an area that is at once comfortable, luxurious and functional. The design aims to provide a sense of calm and a place where passengers can relax, work or socialise before their flight.
Councillor Iain Malcolm, leader of South Tyneside Council said of the development:
“The new lounge is evidence that the Airport is constantly investing and going from strength to strength – whilst at the same time generating millions of pounds for the local economy.”
More information about the facilities on offer in the new lounge, as well as its name, will be disclosed in the coming months and passengers will be able to pre-book access from January 2020. Ask our travel consultants about adding lounge access to your booking.
