Following the global outbreak of the coronavirus Covid-19, like everyone, we have been monitoring and implementing the guidance from the Government and World Health Organisation – updated 16.03.2020.
We have taken practical measures to ensure our team is safe and able to continue working as normal with homeworking an option for several colleagues. There is currently no impact to our service by phone and email. We are operating our usual hours of business providing support and advice to our customers who have been patient, polite and understanding.
For anyone visiting our shop on Gosforth high street, we have implemented additional hygiene and social distancing measures. As the situation changes hour by hour we will proactively manage any changes to Government advice. We do have robust contingency plans in place should the need arise to securely operate our business from a remote location and will continue to follow Government guidelines to minimise the risk to our staff and our customers.
The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) now advises British people against all non-essential travel worldwide. This advice takes effect immediately (17.03.2020) and applies initially for a period of 30 days. Please check the FCO website for latest information. We are proactively contacting anyone due to travel imminently, within the next 72 hours, and assisting those overseas that urgently need to return to the UK.
Many of our travel partners are offering flexibility around bookings with changes or amendments being made free of charge. Incentives and upgrades are being offered when you re-book to ensure travel still happens post Covid-19. Most of our customers are choosing to re-book their travel within the next 12 months.
