There will be no services on the Athens metro and trolley bus networks on Friday 12th January due to a scheduled 24-hour strike. Ferry workers will also be taking part in the walkout, which has been called by unionists to protest a new wave of austerity measures and reforms outlined in a bill being debated in Parliament this week.
Industrial action will continue on Monday 15th January when Greek air traffic controllers are scheduled to stage a three-hour walkout, also in protest at the multi-bill. The strike will take place between 12 pm and 3 pm (local time).
