KLM ground staff at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport are due to go on strike tomorrow, Wednesday 18 September.
This latest industrial action follows two previous walkouts that resulted in disruption to hundreds of flights. The FNV union, which represents those striking, has said that KLM’s 15,000 ground staff are seeking a 4% pay increase and improved working conditions.
Months of talks between the union and KLM management have failed to resolve the dispute, so baggage handlers and other ground personnel of Air France-KLM’s Dutch arm will cease work for four hours as of 11am GMT on Wednesday.
